Forty-three acres off the Dove Valley Road exit of Interstate 17 sold Friday to WL Gore & Associates for nearly $17 million. The manufacturing company intends to utilize the vacant land to construct their new Phoenix office, proposed at 682,000 square feet. Beckham Gumbin Ventures sold the land in a cash-only transaction.
This new location is estimated to employ 1,200 workers1. This is not WL Gore's first venture into Arizona, as they also operate from locations in Flagstaff.
