Here's a look at some of the newest Maricopa County Planning and Zoning cases for August 10 - 14, 2015.
Avilla At Queen Creek – Developer Nexmetro Communities submitted the Site Plan for a 255 unit multifamily development on 20 acres near the northwest corner of Ellsworth Loop and Ocotillo Roads. The development will include 66 one bedroom units in 33 buildings with the 92 two bedroom and 67 three bedroom units each having their own single story building. The community amenities are planned to include two pools, putting greens, bocce ball courts and ramadas. Project architect is Felton Group Civil Engineer is Terrascape Consulting, Burch & Cracchiolo provided legal representation.

Circle K -- Plans
for a new Circle K were submitted development at 1955 West University Drive in Mesa. The
current 2,508 SF convenience store is planned for demolition. The new Circle K
is planned to be 5,581 SF with 10 fuel pumps under a 3,084 SF canopy. Land
Development Consultants submitted the plans on behalf of site developer Circle
K Stores. Project architect is Greenberg Farrow, Helix Engineering is serving
as project engineer.

Tempe Parkview
Townhomes – Tempe City Council approved the Final Plat for Tempe Parkview
Townhomes at their August 13 meeting. The 1.12 acre site is being developed by owner
Habitat for Humanity as 18 low income homes with 72 total bedrooms. The homes
will have 1,681 SF of livable space with 404 SF garages. Clouse Engineering
served as the Plat Engineer.
Pecan Plaza --
An eight building 123,000 SF commercial development was introduced to the
Queen Creek Planning Commission. The development is planned to include a 58,000
SF grocery store anchor, 16,720 SF inline retail strip, 18,860 SF mini major
tenant and five PAD’s ranging from 14,400 to 475 SF. Samuel Sprague is the
project developer, K & I Architects is the architect and DRW Engineering is
the civil engineer.

Goodwill – Kornwasser Shopping Center Properties submitted
a site plan for a new 22,500 SF Goodwill Retail Store on a 2.21 acre vacant
parcel at 2665 North Power Rd in Mesa. Carpenter Stringham Architects are serving
as the project architect and Keogh Engineering Inc. is providing engineering
services.
